Gain Wire Routing and connection to drive cables

Now we can test our modification!

First, download and install the Arduino Suit and Driver software from here:

Second – install the software and accept the driver certification request

Third – connect the External control cable to the new control box, and connect the USB cable from the box to the PC.

Fourth – Confirm in the Windows Device manager that the box connected by checking the COM ports. You should see “Arduino COMXXX”

Fifth, Open the Arduino IDE software, under Tools, select “serial port” and select the Com # for your board.

Sixth, Under Tools, select “board” and select “Mega 2650 ADK”.

Next click on the magnifying glass in the upper right of the program to launch the serial port monitor, and to check if we have a good connection. Sending a STATUS? command should return text. ***The serial monitor should be connected at 9600 Baud (selection box in the serial monitor window on the lower right corner).

Now, we can proceed to testing!
