Nikon officially supports Elements “F” (Freeware) on 32-Bit windows platforms only. While my colleagues and I have been able to employ x64 drivers and use NIS-F on Win7x64, the DS-Ri1 has been an exception. The Ri1 has a very specific driver which is used for pixel shift imaging. So, it will run in “low resolution” mode on an x64 platform. If you are looking to install F and the Ri1, make sure to use a 32 bit version of windows!

Hello,
does the above mentioned problem also show up in the NIS – AR version on an x64 system?

Martin
Hi Martin,
It should run full res in AR, BR and D. The limitation exists because of the driver used in F. Hope this helps!
